Ha ha that's OK, have a look on here:

I'd say you've got a while to go yet, then the possibility of heavy snow showers for the rest of the night and tomorrow.

The 12z ECM is great, if it is overdoing the lows we could be in for a pretty special spell of weather, but even if it came off exactly as it shows I'd be quite happy. Apart from a less cold spell on Sunday / Monday (still quite cold mind) we get another easterly next week.

Quite heavy here in Saltburn for the last 45 minutes. Rain had washed most of it away but got a good half cm lying now...

I have a feeling newcastle is being dodged by the main part of this band. Those showers further out to sea are starting to look promising though for sometime before midnight.

Edit: even more showers popping up on the radar now, looks like there will be plenty of convection tonight, no need for me to worry after all!

Whats conditions are like in Shields NL? I say that because the wind direction has not certainly changed, not sure what direction but I do expect winds to come off the North Sea soon.

Sorry GS been away making the tea, the winds have veered N/NE and its still snowing the flakes are very small now and its turned very slushy on the roads/pavements. I'm surprised its all snow as the Dp's are still above freezing at 0.8ºC and the air temps are hovering around 2ºC, evaporation going on I suspect.
