very wet snow falling but still not settling...temps dropping +1.9 atm

rain today premium showing it turning to sleet for the next few hours over me...hoping that the drop in temps

? at dusk and through the eve will help make it be snow,as opposed to sleet.

Still snowing in Hemel Hempstead. Has been moderate to heavy for the past hour. 4 to 5 cm on the grass and even the road outside which was gritted 90 minutes ago is part covered. Local secondary school sent home at lunchtime. Temperature has remained at minus 0.5 C.

It's been snowing here in HP15 (where I work) since about 10:30 and varies between heavy bursts and persistent light snow. At least an inch and a half has settled.

Funny how being just 10-15 miles east of here seems to made all of the difference when I see snow amounts in Hemel, St Albans, MK, etc.. Going to check out of this thread now, back to model watching for the weekend!

once Essex gets into an easterly air flow.....the moisture off the sea could mean surprises later on in the week, if tonight doesn't deliver the goods .

2inches of snow in Epping apparently.

So far the heavier ppn was suppose to be in the north of the region so far it's been heaviest in west Essex. Just goes to show with those ppn prediction charts

But it does looks like the north of region will pick up more totals due to stalling and of course possible intensifying

Just stopped in Dunstable within the last 5 minutes. Going to be fun getting the car out of the car park.

I walked the dogs about an hour ago and it was sleety snow. Now it's coming down really fast and is proper bite-sized snowflakes. The best bit is I've checked the radar and there's some even heavier stuff just west of Cambridge to come.

still snowing heavy here, but for how long it has snowed for, a little bit disappointed with the amount we have, and very wet slushy snow, no fun to be out in, is it just me or does it seem to be stalling now? keep checking the radar, expecting to see it clear us, and seems to have stalled
