Haha. We have had some polystyrene blowing about, with the odd pea sized flake this morning. What more do you want?

I am actually quietly confident for our part of the world...I'm going for a modest 2-5cm covering by tomorrow morn.

Yeah same here

Those Uppers really making their presence felt now, absolutely bone chilling out there, dewpoints holding together as well. Wrap around tonight still looking decent, could get stuck quite nicely overnight!

Nicktabs are you in Crouch End?

Sure am :) Getting a bit heavier now. Not settling tho, air temp is 1.4c but hopefully should start to fall.

In a word - yes- the ZDL ( zero degree level) Has probably risen to 200M- however Heavy PPN will pull it closer to the surface- very heavy snow will bring it to 0M ASL as the sky - full of snow takes the latent heat out of those lower layers of the atmosphere between 200m & the ground

S

yes your temp will fall in heavy snow-

Proper snow albeit still light-moderate in London W10. I can't help but be more confident now given that the band has turned back to snow in Oxford.
