here we go then- watch the glut of snow reports as the band now enters london & steams across.....

The main band is out west, but the PPN is filling in through the gap which is good....

remember your surface temp doesnt matter- so if you are at 1.2c something like that as soon as the heavy snow comes if the DP is below freezing the surface temp will drop fast....

Indeed, and its just started snowing, will be interesting to see if the Chuggers are still in full effect at lunchtime

And just started here in Reigate (not that surprising given we are about a mile apart!)

Very light snow at the moment.

My temp has fallen from 1.2 to 0.2 in the last couple of hours

More or less same here. Just back from walk. No thaw out of bit of sun we had. Clouding up now.

Only had a dusting here hope my location will get more but I don't think so. Also how is snow prospect for the rest of the year

Rather an ambitious question there Tom! I am no expert but you can probably rule out June to September....

quite heavy snow now but DP has just gone above freezing. just waiting for the rain now, the good news is, its moving through quite quickly so hopefully won't last long, then its out of the way ready for what the rest of the week brings which, as of now looks promising.....

BBC have gone for heavy snow overnight in my area, first time they have actually predicted snow for Gillingham since the event was forecast.

I am no expert and cannot give you as much detail as such venerable members as Mr. Pike but my knowledge indicates that once you get a big drop of the white stuff it can screw the models, the snow keeps temps low and this especailly in Kent can pull in more from the sea.

I still don't 'expect' a major snowfall but the ingredients are starting to appear in the bowl.

It has now stopped snowing here in Brookwood, Surrey. Radar appears to indicate a small window, so hoping it will start snowing again soon. Can't complain though, it has been great to watch good.gif
