tomorrow night from midnight i feel is a good time for some snowfall

precipitationn if rain or sleet earlier turning progressively to snow

cold temps around freezing

tuesday

cold north easterly wind

temps 1-2 degrees

weather front over kent

so dry elsewhere snow showers in kent possible

these may move further west more runs needed

tuesday night

dry and very cold

easterly-southerly variable flow

hard frost

wednesday

again very cold

528 dam air still here

north-north easterly flow

looks dry unless the trough to our north east pays us a visit

0-2 degrees

thursday

still under 528 dam air

either a sw flow or a north easterly flow

need more to be specific

still looks very cold but dry

1-3 degrees

expect a hard frost overnight

tomorrows will be interesting

just wondered how many people actually read these properly

well been a great one here. Woke up at 4am to see a covering and scraped off a couple of inches of snow off car first thing. At work in Radlett it was light and stop/start until about 11am when it really kicked in and was very heavy at times and pretty much non stop until about 3.00. Was settling well on the playground after the kids at the school had been out in it playing. Am a happy bunny now and will be happy with whatever we get now.

Temperature and dew point dropped low enough for snow here just as the front cleared. Do'h!

It's a little hard not to be a bit downbeat, considering the SE was ment to do the best out of this ongoing cold spell, but it seems the closer we get the chances diminish and we end up with light flurries/sleet/cold rain.

I remain optimistic about the rest of the week, but its looking mostly v cold and dry, anything white and fluffy will be a bonus, but as has been said before, this cold spell is nothing to do with the SSW, that comes into play towards the end of the month.

Temperature and dew point actually rising here. If those showers make it down, the best we can hope for is sleet. That's how it currently stands anyway!

Hoping for some snow, pretty much got all rain with bait of sleet mixed in today, there was a very slight sprinkle early this morning and I waited in hope but nothing! Feeling very cold outside now and drying up so fingers crossed! Anyone know the chances for Thurrock, Essex tonight?

Any reports from Chelmsford area?

Did they get lucky as well.

Mad to think North Essex got up to 7cm and South Essex got zilch. Essex is about 40 miles North to South.

Just shows the fine lines when it comes to snow.

fi on the 20th as nearly 15 degree spread

ignore main gfs run from the 19th a 10 degree jump in 1 day

some cold and some warmer ensembles showing

Had a lovely drive back home around m25 from worcester park sleety rain all the all round.

now home and stopped, drying out now.Glad to have seen snow this morning at 06:30 am and on my route around e. kent

Nice to see this at relatively short range Steve - a short time ago we would have said the 3-day range was bordering on the reliable, but the last couple of weeks has thrown that theory up in the air (or, more accurately perhaps, the stratosphere!)
