Axis of the band changing now as the driving airflow above moves more towards a North to South direction. Areas of West Somerset and Doret could see something soon. Further East near Bristol and Bath the snow and sleet will clear through soon.

Seems everyone has gone to bed, time to do the same me thinks, the weather isn't doing much, sleety rain currently... Very doubtful, but lets hope the weather surprises me in the morning!

Edit: maybe people haven't gone to bed, just that there was no posts for 5 mins!

Still 4.3 with the same dp here at present. Can anyone with more understanding of these charts tell me if the coming days are progged to get colder. If not we dont stand a chocolate teapots chance of joining in the possible big event on friday. Thank you.

Latest ukmo fax charts posted in mod disc thread seem to indicate the HP really asserting itself and friday/saturday now not that snowy - against what tonite's GFS is showing.

Plus side to that is that the FAX charts remain bitterly cold well into the weekend.

Like you said though, boundary likely to change between now and then.

Just been talking to my mum on skype (she is in Yatton) and, on security light checking for me, she said it was sleeting there. Mainly light rain with the odd flake mixed in.
