Ipswich just light dandruff in the wind, looks like everything fizzles before arriving in town. rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

If only town's opponents did the same when they visited eh?

Nice clear skys here, very sparkly. I'll cross my fingers that the bit hitting 'boro at the moment makes it this far, but suspect it's a forlorn hope :)

Surprised (and disappointed) by the amount of snow melt this evening. Patchy, slushy 1cm covering here now. Snow has started again but is only light.

Areas such as Norwich have done much better than I thought they would. Feel sorry for those down in Essex who have had nothing but rain.

Temp here is -0.6C.....but can still hear dripping and the trees are bare of snow. Wonder if my Davis needs recalibrating!?

EDIT: On a plus note, is it me or is the area of precip intensifying a little?!?!

I think I'll call it a night, suppose I will find out in the morning if this delivered any snow! See you in the morning.

I really don't think it's going to deliver more than 1cm, maybe 2 at best. I wouldn't get too excited!

Disapointing snow day for me. I did get to some at work in Norwich but I was leaving just as it got interesting.

Now back on the coast just north of Gt Yarmouth and it's wetter than an otters pocket. No snow anywhere, I should know better really.

There'll be some sad faces from the kids in the morning.

Confused as to what areas further to the east did okay today? I thought you lot would have done better, but even here I've still got 5cm on the grass after a bit of a thaw. Out in the rural spots its 9cm, and the roads were dodgy in North Beds this afternoon. When I took my son out of nursery early in North Beds they had built some half decent snowmen. Where was the good snowfall then? My parents in north-east Yorkshire have bearly enough to wipe a bottom with, and they were meant to get the most.

In Bedford town centre it was sludge at best. Out in the middle of nowhere it was pretty good at 3pm.

Snowing in Colchester now.

The band currently looks like its gaining strength.

Southern Norfolk and north Suffolk look most likely for some sustained snow tonight from the current radar - certainly settled in and snowing fairly hard now in Worlingworth..

Just read the 16-30 day long range forecast on Met Office. Unusual to say the least that they mention "The frequency of snow events through this period may be more than experienced so far this winter."

I appreciate this can change but from reading thoughts of more experienced there does seem quite a strong signal for this.

I must admit February is tending to be quite lucrative over the tears for this region.

Had a good 5cm or so here in Bury St Edmunds/Rougham since about 3pm. Stuck fairly sharpish, slight melt, but it has now started back up again.
