Also in Rushden and we got a decent fall, much of it fell to the thaw, now freezing I suspect (not been out, too cold)

Southern Norfolk and north Suffolk look most likely for some sustained snow tonight from the current radar - certainly settled in and snowing fairly hard now in Worlingworth..

Was in Worlingworth until about 9pm......a decent covering at 7pm....but soon melted like it has here....directly north of me...so what you get I should have soon :D

its come too early again its too wet to settle,if this happened later it would be falling on frozen ground.never mind nice to see.

Definately intensifying.....wonder how long it will do this for? Got a fresh covering here now.....looking slightly better than the slushy covering earlier. Temps also dropping...now -0.7C. I don't mind not getting a huge amount of snow....I just don't like it melting...especially at night! Would be nice to have a half decent covering in order to see some decently cold nights this week. Be good to see a minus 10 biggrin.png

Also, I would erge everyone not to be disheartened......the air in place this week will be cold enough for snow. When this is the case, anything can happen. Thinking back over all of the best snow events......I think they have all come out of the blue. The ones forecast to be "bad" never come to much. Could be some last minute surprises this week for some of us.

Even tonight/tomorrow could be if a trough forms. Plausible with low pressure close by surely? If one did form this week...could see some snow showers pushing further inland

Unless you live in the other Rushden in Hertfordshire I'd be astonished given the clearness of the sky that snow could be falling on a different part of a town no wider than 2km.

Snowing here in Braintree again and the wind is howling weather station says 0.8 but it feels more like 15 below freezing brrrr

No SSW moment at all now.

Well hot damn! I think I'm in one of the sweet spots or should that be belts for once. The heavier snow's just moved over and is likely to continue for an hour or so. There've been so many times when I've just missed out.

Just rain and sleet here in Gorleston,right on the coast, now stopped. No covering at all, just miserable and wet :-(
