Very impressive snowfall in colchester!,the grounds just to wet to settle on the paths and road.But covering the roofs and trees ,bbq and bin lids nicley:)

Coming down nicely here now so have just been out for a little late night stroll in the billowing snow. Lovely! Probably another hour or so of snow to come so we could end up with maybe 2 or 3 cm. At the moment it is just a light covering.

Settling on cars at last down the road in Wivenhoe. It needs to be much heavier to settle on the damp roads though.

I've had the old jewelers eyepiece out for the 23:30 radar 'sweep' and I think it might be pepped up a tad. Mind you it does appear to be heading SE again so I may miss it.

Settling on cars at last down the road in Wivenhoe. It needs to be much heavier to settle on the damp roads though.

I working at the University tomorrow (which I believe goes as Wivenhoe?). Could be an intersting drive down, as there is plenty of snow going in that direction. Also I will be there about 7am......so could be a tad icy.....and my car is awful in snow :/

Looks like a Chinese takeaway has exploded outside......prawn crackers falling from the sky!!!

Be nice if this kept up, quickly covered the road. Wind has got up aswell, although so has the wind and I can hear that dripping again! cray.gif

Looks like that's it for Norwich but we had 7 hours of snowfall so a winter wonderland scene now. Woo.

Saw on the been news 24 a little while ago that they forecast more snow for Norfolk tomorrow

This was the view from the bathroom window half an hour ago… couldn't take a proper picture as the wind was coming in and it was actually quite unpleasant out there. Pity anyone who's out in that tonight.

Anyone noticed how temperatures across the whole country don't seem to be dipping off very much!? Forecast is for -8C tonight in parts of the wes, but we seem to be one of the coldest parts of the country at the moment with temperatures of around freezing......

Snowing hard enough here in Braintree now to recover the wet road, im suprised tbh as it was very wet everywhere from the snow melting earlier.

I personally would like to know,how long the north sea will feed this,and when will it drop south coz,people saying snow all night on my face book ?i cant say no really atm.

Temperature still dropping. Down to 0.6c now. Starting to settle on roads and path. Cars covered. Happy to see we are finally getting some snow! Can anyone report on the situation in colchester as I have to head that way for work tomorrow.

Heavy snow here in Little Baddow, Essex. Temperatures just below freezing and accumulating nicely :)
