Still really coming down and the main roads are slushy/white, so the grit hasn't worked. Paths have about 6cm lying where no one has stood and grass is nearing 10cm now!

Doesn't show signs of stopping neither. Wooooo!

Pepped up a bit here in Bewdley -- I'd say moderate rather than heavy, but certainly more than an hour ago. I'm off for a walk in a few minutes, and will measure the depth then!

Just got back from picking up the other half (I refused to let him take his rear wheel drive beamer to work) and a journey that would take me 20 mins tops took me 1 1/2 hours. It also had the obligatory rear wheel drive bmw trying to get up a hill sideways.but actually not too bad for Birmingham, given that we usually have a grid-locked city after 5cm snow.

It's still snowing heavily although the flakes are a lot smaller and denser now, we've got approx 8cm depth and it's -1 degrees C. Anyway here are a few more pics:

559 (Evesham – Broadway) : This service is now suspended for remainder of the day, and will also not operate Saturday. (NEW UPDATE)

S64 (West Malvern – The Chase School) : This service will not operate today due to bad snow in West Malvern and the closure of The Chase High School.

X3 (Stourport – Kidderminster – Bromsgrove – Redditch) : This service is still running between Kidderminster and Bromsgrove, but omitting The Walshes and Areley King's, terminating in Stourport Town Centre, and not running between Bromsgrove and Redditch.

X50 (Redditch – Wythall – Birmingham) : This service is running direct via the A435, omitting the villages in between.

W1 (Perdiswell Park & Ride) : This service is now suspended for remainder of the day. A "response only" return journey will operate from Crowngate Bus Station back to the Park & Ride Site. A bus will only run if there are passengers to return from the bus station.

W3 (Sixways Park & Ride) : This service is now suspended for remainder of the day.

Wyre Forest Dial 'a' Ride have now suspended all community transport services.

Met Office have definitely underestimated this event. We're looking close to 15cm by the end of the day I reckon. 3cm just fell in an hour.
