It's supposed to stall over us anyway and pivot I think! Could be around for rest of day just not as heavy! Also haven't looked at models today yet. Are we still on for repeat sort of performance Monday?

It's slowly fizzling out now. It's like moderate snizzle, but its been a much better event that I previously expected.

I think its already stalled, but bring on the pivot! id be happy with moderate snow for a few more hours!

And I've had a brief look at the models, and they show a possible event on sunday, all subject to change though of course!

It be defiantly nice nice for the snow to stay to have more heavy snow on top for change. Doesn't happen often

Looks like it is easing off to my west and the sky is brighter here although still snowing hard.

Bet lots of towns in the mids are finding this this afternoon but most schools that opened this AM are closing and according to the BBC "Arriva has recalled all its buses which operate from Shrewsbury bus station because of safety concerns in the snow"

Still coming down, the band has fragmented over the last hour but plenty of showers around this afternoon

It's been tiny flakes all day, would've liked some bigger flakes but we got that on Monday.

Very pleased though, didn't even expect this to happen. :)

Great isn't it!? Now 9cm level snow on our patio table. That radar sweet spot hasn't moved from over us for an hour or so now. Best snow for years!! Yayyyyy!

TCBTS

12cm level here now what are your drifts? i measured some at 19/20

A reasonable snow event here 4cms new snow roughly although the drifting makes it harder to guage exact amounts. Fortunately that fell on top of 4cm we already had.

Sustained moderate snow this is looking like being better than 2010 in terms of snow.

Steady snow since around 8am heavy and blowing at times.Around 8cm(3 ins) lying up to now as a conservative estimate.

people are worried about it fizzling out. This is common with such bands, it will pep up again in parts and then fizzle out towards the east after 6pm

Looks like the heaviest of the snow may have passed now, it's definitely lost intensity in the past hour, although still coming down moderately here, not as heavy as earlier though thank god.
