Well if it continues at this rate then I reckon there'll be at least 5 cm by 8am, can't wait for the drive to work!

There is a lot of snow, even though the flakes are small (can't see the end of the Cricket Field). I don't have to worry about going to work,as i don't work Fridays or over the weekend, even i did,i would not go!

Thanks DS, it's blowing a bit of a gale here and it looks like the snow is gradually petering out.

Certainly pepped up in the past half hour, small flakes and very wet stuff though. Difficult with no light to see if it's more sleet than snow but it does look that way. No complaints though as the back garden is sat under a very healthy white blanket right now

Flakes are quite small and wet here, too, I think. Also not looking at how quickly the front is moving and trying to have faith in the nw forecast which shows snow here until 6am Saturday morning.... When is the next lot of charts due?

i was just thinking that myself it does seem like a very narrow snow band for an all day event.

unless its stalls and pivotes around.

We have a thin slushy covering here just up from the harbour, it looks more like a heavy hoar frost.....but at least the kids can say they saw some snow when they wake up! :-)
