Just woken up,to check.........wow! We have Snow and every thing is well covered, very windy and the flakes are getting bigger.

We must have a few cm'sbiggrin.png

There's at least 2cm if not more on the cars here, and that's after about 75 minutes.

Oh wow... Huge flakes!! Must be 50p size some of them!!

Hi Kiwi

It's settling on the roads and cars already, Kiwi. I will keep updating - will you be going evening or matinee? The roads in town should be fine, especially if you park in West Quay or one of the other larger car parks and don't try to go down the hill past the theatre!

Hi katemart. Matinee, then early...ish dinner with friends somewhere nearby. Thanks for the hill warning and parking advice. The real challenge will be the couple of country lanes I have to negotiate up here before getting to a main road. Good luck with your snow. Ours is imminent looking at the radar.

Yes if those flakes were bigger then it would settle alot quicker, still can't complain, it's chucking it down out there :)

Well if it continues at this rate then I reckon there'll be at least 5 cm by 8am, can't wait for the drive to work!

Morning all. Snowing here. Wet snow. Latest NAE looks like an upgrade as the snow seems to stay around here for longer. Anyone have an update on this.

Flakes are quite small and wet here, too, I think. Also not looking at how quickly the front is moving and trying to have faith in the nw forecast which shows snow here until 6am Saturday morning.... When is the next lot of charts due?

Bigger flakes tend to be wetter snow, so I am happy with the size they are!
