Think i'm writing this one off again. Can't see it moving it at all towards me - frustrating because we seem to be right on the northern edge of the band, its just dying right over PR2.

Not sure what some of you are saying about the low pivoting and whether that will bring us into play later on today ?

It seems if it can find a reason not to snow in Preston it won't. Today has proved that point, I mean its even snowing in Blackpool for gods sake !! Ho hum and all that .... but no toys being thrown

Man Up and be patient.....!!!!!

Too hard to say for sure but the band is supposed to pivot round to a northward then northwestward motion. It's not even started doing that yet and southern end of band is way east of my location....

Sorry I'm not very clued up on this sort of stuff? Is what you explained a good or a bad thing for our area?

BBC news 24 forecast is a joke, saying it shouldn't be snowing here more than a flurry at all today!

The problem is that they seem to carry on using old data when there is either radar or updated model output to the contrary.

Approaching 5 cm now and still falling heavily. Doesn't seem to have gotten any lighter although the flakes are a little smaller.

just been out and measured 6.8CM, flakes are now bigger and heavier and almost blizzard like conditions in the wind, drifts are past 12cm already

Well this is bloody fantastic,it's like Narnia out there. Not very often I say that about Crewe!

I tell you what you know this stalling might not be great for me but it could mean you see one of your biggest ever falls - Good luck!!
