Have to say that the Met Office have been pretty poor, somebody please tell me what's light and patchy about the radar.

They've been pretty much spot on, actually. Not sure how you've drawn that conclusion. Also, "becoming light and patchy", which it's showing signs of.

MetO called this spot on so far.

Still heavy here, finer flakes that just seem to be blowing around everywhere, looks like thick smoke in the gusts.

Dark grey sky that looks full of it. -2.6C

Been snowing, although its only lightish at the moment, in Cleethorpes for about 50 mins now, light dusting on the side streets and ontop of what has survived the last snow fall. Very raw wind blowing in off the sea. Rgds.

Pretty pathetic 2 hours of "snizzle" so far here in Lincoln. Kind of settling. Not a patch on what we had on Monday though.

I think the Met Office forecast for today has been spot on so far. Yesterday though they didn't even acknowledge any snow falling across alot of the country.

WOW its drifting off all the roofs in the street. looks so cool lol

Same here, will definitely get my couple of cm's at this rate. Radar indicates it should decrease in intensity soon, however their should be snow around for a while!

Edit: 3cm now

Cheese Rice I'm in Amsterdam atm and have a flight back to LBA at about 9.30 am tomorrow. What do you think my chances of getting in are?

????.showed it mostly dry by morning on the bbc at 2-00

Its not the regional s/yorks forecast, i've been looking at the 5 day for Penistone when you click on the public tab and type in the location.

It seems to be more accurate than the area forecast and updates frequently. I dont know if it takes elevation etc into account but it gives different results

to Barnsley, Sheff, Huddersfield etc, even Denby Dale which is the next train stop from here a few miles away, it gives us heavy snow at 9pm and

Denby Dale light snow. It seems to be more localized.

I don't actually live at LBA LOL. I would expect there be delays perhaps cancellation depending on how much we see. So far all flights to and from EU countries are running fine. :)
