Other half says another bus has possibly slid into the first. Ambulance is trying to get through but difficult as most cars are bumper to bumper.

Thanks, again, ftolad. Just had a call from hubby, the three lads who made it in and who have been sitting in the car park since 08:00 have now been told that the boss will be there to open up in about half an hour and they've all got to sit it out. Brilliant. No punters will be able to get there and then they will all have to walk home. Thanks a lot, Kwik-Fit!!!

Ok... so the car has a covering of icing now although still the small, dry/light flakes dancing about in the wind. Trains still happily running from nearby station and traffic moving well.

Will report back from Henley on Thames once I've ventured out to collect children early from school... earlier the better as I don't have my 4 x 4 any more...sad.png

Take care on the roads y'all...

No Sky here either. I need a BBC weather forecast dammit! :D

The child (well she's 22, but you know what I mean) stayed up all night to watch the snow come in, now she has gone to bed as she is tired. What's the point of having kids if they won't go out to play with you?! All those years of sleepless nights, all that money spent on presents and holidays, all the money I spent putting her through her education...

Selfish girl!

Brilliant morning, got up early and set out up the common with the dog, on foot, blizzard conditions up there at 200meters with with some major drifts, up to my waist some of them. Roads in chaos (everywhere in Stroud is on a hill), snow plows been through. And there is 9cms of level snow in the garden (70 meters up) and it's only 9.20 !!

Blimey, where did the last thread go. n055.gif

Taken some pictures of the snowfest here in Newbury, Berkshire but am yet to upload.

My official Met Office standard measurement taken at 9am was approximately 40mm level snow cover.

Temperatures on the way down, -1.2c, -1.9c DP, 1003.2mb falling slowly barometer, variable winds 3mph usually from an Easterly quadrant.

A few more hours of action to come.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. f045.gif
