This snow beats 2010! About 3 inches here, probably lost an inch last night to melting before it settled properly. :)

Borderline sleety snow here now. 11 to 12 cm lying on lawn away from the drifts. About to go up to the head of the valley tobogganing and expect it to be somewhat deeper and drier there, maybe a bit too deep for good tobogganing!

Happy Snow day everyone!

I woke up at 6am this morning to see nothing, was disappointed so went back to bed as I knew it was early. Woke up at 8 to slight blizzard conditions, now we've probably got around 4 inches on the ground and still coming down!

The Occluded front responsible for this has now stalled and hard moving at all!

Temp here is around 0c dew point -3c. I have no wind data as the wind sensor is frozen!

snowing quite heavily in Callingon, SE Cornwall and wondering if my school is going to shut!!

Ours has in Somerset.Yaaay.Not that I am happy you understand...........smile.png

vey light snow here atm, but if Cornwall is getting more snow then I guess we could be in line for more too.

It's the wind that is so bitterly cold.Brrr definitely a day to stay in doors and sort out a bedroom or two!

Still feels quite warm. Thermometer said 0C at 8.30am and walking across the field it was a layer of snow over slushy bog, most odd.

The sun has just come out here! Very jealous of all those with snow, particularly my hubby who drove to work at Launceston to find snow!

Love the beautiful pics though :-)

Plenty of snow around callington

Wow glad to see that some in East Cornwall have snow. Just stopped here on South Dartmoor, looks to be thawing, but lucky to have got some at all. Could you send some more from Callington, that's of course unless you want to hold onto it :0)

Just measured a good 2 inches and 5cm here.

Snow still coming down but fine flakes now.

Leaned out and poured water over the sky dish, all back now.

Have no Dab radio either.

Using iPad to listen to radio is fine.

Seen a plough going up and down the bus route, never seen that here before. All buses here have been cancelled.

MetO says that I now have snow all day until 9pm tonight. That wasn't forecast was it?

Yep, pretty much DD!

So, just tallying things up, as I haven't had a chance to read 998 posts in the last 8 hours.

Has it snowed in................................

Coastal Dorset regions, such as Poole, Bournemouth, Weymouth etc.

Coastal Devon

Isle of Wight

Other regions of the Costa del South Coast

Lastly, how much rain has fallen in parts of Cornwall and Devon, for example.
