hi , can you help me due to my inexperience reading charts / radar etc

I live in Nottinghamshire , about 8 miles NW of city ( ng16 ) and wonder what current path this snow band is taking from where you are ??

Hi Tyson, I warn you I am also very inexperienced so could be wrong. From what I can see the snow band is moving North West. If this is the case, then there is a fair bit more snow heading your way, so I would estimate snow to continue falling, albeit lightly, in Nottingham until the Early Hours. Edited by Hughsey

Epic out there (in Beccles), belting down, blowing all over the place in the wind, must be at least 2-3 inches, going to be more than was suggested I think!

Hi Ribster, just been for a drive round ellough and theres some awesome drifts up there

Dave, do you see that heading west at all? Or is it going to start drifting north? Keep looking at the radar thinking it is going to stop, but still coming down

This is moving WNW. Those members in the SW of this region will be the first to see this snow fade away and those in the NE of this region the last. This could take until tomorrow morning to finally clear N Norfolk.

Hi Slater, got a good 5 or 6 cm here in beccles , blowing about and drifting

looking at latest radar i see you guys right in the firing line, looks like the heavy stuff will past Norwich, any others think this?

Well a really very decent event here, had about 14cms of fresh snowfall and its still coming down light-moderately here. Must say I was expecting maybe up to 10cms but not quite this much. Local roads are very difficult at the moment.

Thank you, must admit another hour and that will be 12 hours of non stop snow!!

I was thinking that too!!

I think it's a radar error, it's slightly underestimating the intensity to the N of Norwich? Not sure though

Serious question, are we getting this feed due to the jet stream diving south off the west coast?

So Norwich people, will this keep snowing for a few hours to come?

Yes maybe several more hours to go yet

Also, flakes are gradually getting bigger and its coming down a bit heavier, not by much though. Still accumulating nicely
