suffolkboy how you faring? Turned in to quite a decent fall here by dusk. A very nice top up of a couple of inches, prob more.

I don't recall seeing such persistant heavy small flaked snow for such a length of time and accumulatiing so well before. (i'm 27). Mind you I grew up in london and am used to getting only occasional decent falls by bigger wetter flakes, heavier and shorter falls.

Nice seeing actual snow fall in the day time as well as all previous proper snow in this spell has been overnight in this location. Glad so many locations got some after a frustrating wait. What thoughts for tonight in Suffolk? All the best.

Feb 91 was a bit like today, with fine dry snow but snowed for nearly 3 days solid with max temps of -4 c lol !

Might have to work from home tomorrow smile.png

I think there will be a lot of people 'working from home' or on 'sick leave' tomorrow, but if you do have to go out please drive carefully and for goodness sakes get all the snow off your car before you set off.....

Steve do you think the brighter colours out in the north sea will make it inland?? how do you see mid Norfolk fairing? I keep watching the radar and although it has been snowing powdery snow here for an hour the heavier ppn doesn't seem to be making major inroads?

its over the coast at the moment looking at it felixstowe to yarmouth are info a dumping

That rain alarm is great with the pin on your location. Actually was recommended a good prog today!

Haha classic laziness! Another pet hate is having loads of snow on your roof...not a good idea if you have to stop suddenly!

Snow is coming down a bit heavier again here, despite it suggesting it should've stopped.

Stopped here now after over 9 hours of steady snow, wind starting to kick in a little.

Full blown blizzard here, still fine snow though. Don't want to go outside and check the depth yet, looks nasty and if Steve Murr is right then it's going to get worse.

30cm blooming heck rofl.gif

funny i didn't think it would get here earlier it changed all of a sudden

after my hospital appointment at the paget was cancelled friday, its supposed to be tomorrow but if we get a foot of snow i won;t be going

i hope Southernman gets back from Reedham ok at midnight he says blizzards there as well

Still just about going here, about a 2 on the SM scale I'd say. Doesnt look like we're going to get 12 hours though.

I've been quite disappointed in the radar recently around the SE...it doesn't seem to be measuring the intensity right, with that straight line just to the S of Norwich, Thetford etc (helpfully lol), and missing frames all over the place. Some major work needed on it

Have had about 3cm here from 9 hours of fine snow, for a while slipped out of the snow line on the radar though the snow never stopped, but now back under it and the snow has picked up again very happy!

Just drove my pesky daughter round to her friends house. On the side roads you can't see where the pavements are supposed to be. So don't walk anywhere when I'm driving by.
