Sleet then rain on fri/sat with temps back above freezing for my neck of the woods. Definitely game over by Friday I'm afraid, overwhelming model support for that outcome, have a feeling that could be it for a few weeks also.

NAE has pushed the snow back west for tomorrow now :(

Think that is it in terns of snow in this current cold spell for us in the west midlands we shall have five days of bitter cold and ice then back to normal from the weekend hopefully we can get a re load of cold in feb

more snow overnight, trees/everything white, but I think thats it now for snow here

When i called it a night, you could see the moon through the clouds. thought the cloud would break and the temps would drop like a stone.

Woke up this morning and still cloud cover.aggressive.gif current temp -1.4

Looks like the band is shifting north now, about to clear stoke by the looks of things.

MetO and gfs precip charts say otherwise.

A bit of light snow here, could be the last snow of the winter who knows, but very happy with this winter if it is.

Main roads are ok in Stratford but side roads are bad. We're a hardy lot though. Most schools are open!

Oh well weve had are turn with snow now its time to hand it back over to the welsh and the SW, people in the SW definately deserve it.

Good point. Might as well 'spread the love'.

A beautiful sight outside this morning, a real winter wonderland.

10cm level snow in Shrewsbury, just measured on level undisrurbed ground. Most here in January since at least 1987. And just a few small flakes drifting down again as I type. Even measured 7cm on a road that was wet yesterday morning, so thats two 7cm falls in 3 days after only one since 1997.
