SD no worries. Used to it missing me all the time. Probably took you to Lytham on Friday as train driver for Northern. Get about the region a lot so get to see the snow on all my routes. Still, would be nice to have some at home. Not expecting nothing here again either over the next couple of days. Its good thundering down the Bolton line though leaving a cloud of snow behind you. Radar stuck on 21:00 hrs,, any one got any idea where the current PP is tracking??

I want more of an easterly element in there just to send some of it up the coast please!

Well the hills 1/4 mile away are completely obscured by a sea of white (with a hint of orange), forget about trying to view the 2 miles all the way to Kinder Scout. The Hope Valley and Edale especially must be recording some good totals from this.

The alignment is much better for widespread snow across the region but as it has already been said, the Pennines are taking the sting out of the heavier stuff.

Hopefully this will change and if it does we could be looking at some decent amounts in the morning.

Its so fine here I can't actually see it unless I go outside. It should be heavier than this according the rain today radar but its been like this right through this "event"

And yet a few miles up the road in Heaton Chapel it's coming down nicely with a covering on all surfaces. Amazing what a few miles can do!

Good lord it's snowing, only small flakes but it's definitely snow rather than rain or sand.

In hale too, light snow hopefully will get thicker and last a few hours, seems to angled better than the forecast

This is so annoying ,there is a big strip of very thin slushy ,icy crap from friday which has caught the snow so it is now bright white, showing me what it would look like if this bloody accumalated everywhere.I do hope this gets heavier for all.

Cheers for the journey ss! Light stuff heading Light stuff heading to most of the region but heavier echoes in east/south at the moment. Could change but Penines are a pain. Try netweather radar mate - £3.49 for a single month subs - well worth it.

Fantastic, hopefully a few hours.

Just wondering if this has all moved more north-west than expected?
