Yes there is alot of bragging going on with people showing off with their 10 inches I feel ha ha!

I'm feeling quite self conscious and insecure now, maybe i have a faulty tape measure.

10inch in 3hours is serious snow, whats the highest snowfall rate on record for the UK?

For some areas, this is a severe event and im very surprised a red warning has not been issued. https://twitter.com/...1879424/photo/1 The M6 currently, absolute chaos, this motorway is now closed. I wonder if this was in the south, a red warning would of been issued? I certainly think a red warning should of been issued at least considering they issued one for Wales last week.

Should defo been a Red warning for areas of NW England. The M6 J26/7 is carnage.

lighter snow here, but still coming down reasonably given this is the lightest band on the radar.

Now 100% snow, been a superb watch everyone, loved the way it has oscillated from snow to ice pellets to rain/snow/pellets n now back to snow!

Still quite heavy here but much smaller flakes, snow ploughs had a go at the road but its still covered. Got a good foot of snow on the stone wall

in the garden but thats including old snow cover. -0.6C.

Cant wait until first light to get out with the camera, there was a foot on the cow field so it will be well up the shins now.

Quite disappointed really 6 hours of solid snowfall has given us 1-2". To say the heaviest precipitation has been passing over us and is stuck here looking outside doesn't reflect this!

Plenty more PPN to come yet though, and for now it's just snow.
