Sorry for the less than great quality, it was taken on my Android. Just gives a general idea of the snow depth.

If you look at some of the comments from the social radar then there is still heavy show falling as far over as Shropshire etc (or it was 20 mins ago). Radar clearly not correct. Got finer in Fenton but still falling moderately.

Indeed.More snow than ice pellets now, so it's looking very good again.

Yup just had to go out in it again as plant is failing! Painful in the face lol

What's the projected duration. Even though its came down here for a short time there is only a bit on the ground but this is on the steel works. Is it deeper on the streets?

The snow must be piling up now, and it's still coming down thick and fast.

At least five or six fresh inches by the looks of it, although the temperature is now up to a scorchio 0.0c!

For some areas, this is a severe event and im very surprised a red warning has not been issued.

Unbelievably bad conditions in NW - this is M6 at Standish live. Please stay home! pic.twitter.com/YVqjDJ2o

The M6 currently, absolute chaos, this motorway is now closed. I wonder if this was in the south, a red warning would of been issued? I certainly think a red warning should of been issued at least considering they issued one for Wales last week.

the snow > rain area has been pushed back on the radar im looking at. 30 mins ago the border was just outside Blackpool, it's now back in the Irish sea. There's plenty more to come by the looks.

I was saying you are!

It's a real mixed bag of Heavy Snow/ Rain n Ice Pellets, nearly game over i think unless you have some elavation, still it was one of them moments you won't forget, loved wathcing it all unfold, think the chase is better than the event knowadays, lol.

The grass around here is completely covered, and it looks like lots more to come aswell.

Still ice pellets with the odd flake mixed in here, its really starting to make a dent on the snow we had before so hopefully it'll go before that white echo on the radar arrives.

The temperature is still good but slowly rising, now up to 0.4C with a dewpoint of -0.3C.

No idea on the depth as Im at work and its a pretty significant heat island here.

the heavy patch over south yorks seems to have dumped a really large amount in so little time. Here ive had heavy but smallish flakes since it started and have 9cm.

Most certainly as done, extremely heavy snow.

Still coming down though not quite as heavy now.
