i'd say stick to the radar now. but defo ignore the gfs and ignore the Will it snow because its based on each gfs run. NAE is the best model, but all about radar really - gonna be a late one!

Gonna be a late nite - but worth it if everything verifies. Who knows how long it will be until the next time, maybe I can get stuff done when normal weather resumes laugh.png

Rain alarm, first class self refreshing radar. Used it ever since it was recommended in here and also have it as a chrome plugin. Have a popup now saying precipitaion 5.9 miles away. Geek heaven

Don't care about possibly having to stay up late. I'll be walking home from town at 12ish as I'll be at the pub for birthday drinks.

By the looks of it, a very snowy walk home!

Going to make the most of every last flake tonight, it could be my last snow for a while!

Yes, Alex was slightly incoherent this evening, think we are getting slow!!

Must be the worst weather presenter ever when it comes to the spoken word, always cheery though

Temperature here 0C with a DP of -3.2C. Not expecting PPN to reach here for at least 2-3 hours yet. In response to the above post yes the precipitation will reach EA. :)

The NW was never going to get much anyway, the mild air swamps that region quite quickly.

In my experience they always seem to get snow which is unforecasted! lol

The gap in the Bristol channel is filling in which is a sign of the colder air sinking into the mild air which is rising causing evaporation & moisture to form.

hovering here somewhere between 0 and -1 as far as I can tell. All I have is my phone app and a site I use. Really hoping I can stay awake long enough to see this happen tonight, but am so tired!

Cripes! There's a lazy wind sprung up....it can't be bothered to go round you..it just goes straight through you. It's really blowing chilly now in Ippy. (Change of plan. Not going to Nor' till tomorrow. :) )
