As temperatures fall on Tuesday evening and night, icy stretches will form on many untreated surfaces especially where lying snow freezes. There may also be a few light snow flurries in places though any new accumulations will be slight. Freezing fog patches may also add to travel difficulties. The public are advised to take extra care.

Foggy here, and temps around 1c with a very slight thaw.

I am assuming there are not going to be any surprises later with the band of sleet/snow in the south, in regards it pushing this far north into Cambs. ?

Have there been any predictions as to just how far north it will reach ?

That band is forecast to pivot, therefore although it looks like it wants to move North it will not.

The ppn will possibly track as far north as South London but will readily push N'Westwards.

i tend to agree with that dexter. wait another 30 mins to see it trend further west. it could make more northern progress in which case the extreme south and southwest of the region has a chance of a swipe as it passes. currently unlikely to make any great difference to exiting surface conditions. however, its the surprise snowfalls that are the best ones !! bucks may be ok to receive a few cms - the further sw the better

I'm very confident the main area won't hit us - what will be interesting to see is if there's any extra developments just north of the system (just to the E/SE of our locale) as the influence of the system edges into North Sea/Thames Estuary area. It's a long shot, but that's all any hopeful watchers can look for presently

still freezing here, just about -0.5 max temp has been zero. Got drips happening from the roof but nothing from the trees so far.

Looks like it's started just to the south of oxford.

Even areas such as Brighton are reporting settling snow, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see some parts of this region see more settling, considering temps are lower across the area.

Cant see much for this region still. Watch it pull WNW as the front tilts and fades on its Eastern edge
