very dissappointing here this evening a few flakes , yet 9 miles down the road in Great Kingshill a good 4cm , hows that ?? seems that it fizzles out when it passes over Aylesbury ,yet re-invigorates as it exits , unbelievable....

I guarantee that there will be some 'weather' somewhere - I predicted it on facebook back in July 2011 that in 2013 there would be some 'weather' - by rootling through Carol Kirkwood's bins and clothesline, I managed to create this forecast from my cell with the aid of Nigel the fly. So, there....

Morning all,

There has been another cm of snow here in MK overnight, nothing to get too excited about but as I'm going out this morning I'd rather the roads be clear.

Have a nice Wednesday good.gif

Just back home from a 17 hour shift at work, glory be that the roads are now lovely to drive on. I got to three times as many call-outs as I did two days ago so my bank balance is looking much better now. Weather here is overcast, and +3c.

Some real flakes just fell in Aylesbury, none of these tiny grains we've been having. Only lasted a few minutes though

just had a snow shower in Leigh on sea, when isthr cold gonna return after the weekend

I was just about to post regarding this

Light precip showing up across S Essex/Herts at the moment. With a relatively decent SEly flow, and upper air temperatures cooling through the day (along with some weak PVA) the southern half of the region in particular could be open to some shallow convection, giving some snow flurries

First signs of those showing on the radar at the moment, and good to see sme actual reports

Very light flurries here at the moment. The snow pack is now ruined here to be honest, after the reasonable thaw yesterday.

Also I would like to start a 'winter score so far' (WSSF) scoring system to keep this thread going during the boring parts of winter so...

Out of 10 I would like people to rate the following.

Cold ?/10

Snow falling frequency ?/10

Snow depth ?/10

Lying snow ?/10

Days off work/school caused by snow ?/10

Total...(Add up the scores):

1-10 = Terrible Winter!

11-15 = 1990's Winter!

16-20 = Fairly Average Winter!

21-25 = Okay, but could be better Winter!

26-30 = Good Winter!

31-35 = Very good, no work for me Winter!

36-40 = One to remember Winter!

41-45 = High fuel bill Winter!

46-50 = Standed Winter!
