Train stuck 200 yards from the station in Buxton, they wont let the passengers off either , they're in for a long night !

I'd get off, you can't imprison folk, it's against the law? :-/

A515, A53, A628, A57, A537 all closed now due to snow. Looks like the Peak District is taking a hammering. With several hours of snow still to come I now wonder if I will get to go up there tomorrow for my hike/photography session that I had planned?

Park Rise, just next to Western Park.

Surely must be heat island effect...? Only explanation but I'd expect it to turn to snow soon mate

dew point now -0.1 game over now, me thinks.

It wont be, you much further East, will likely be a mix of heavy snow flurries and freezing rain at worst being east, heavy precip will drag temp down

I knew the Beeb had called this wrong, had a feeling they would. I've seen them give us heavy snow in set ups like this about 3 times in the past and it's ended up being rain/sleet. It's happened once again. Crap event, end of.

Yes everyone has now got to admit that this has been called wrong! They have all been over cautious again!
