Nice ECM at T+144 aswell! Certainly the possibility of some frontal snow at some point this weekend, most likely Sunday (going off the 3 main models), and then maybe some snow showers into the start of the new working week. :)

It was an awkward wintery mix for me on the cycle home, I could hear it on my coat and in the bushes by the side of the road so it livened up the usual uneventful journey, Sounds like very heavy rain now judging by the conservatory roof

Sky looks awkward and chaotic - clear bits and lots of streaks of purply upper cloud and then fluffy dark greyish white blobs lower down. It might be a sign..huh.png

Crikey, I haven't seen skies like that since the 1970's ......they were the days. blink.png

If you look at ECM and UKMO at T+144:

UKMO: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rukm1441.gif

ECM: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Recm1441.gif

They aren't too dis-similar from eachother, even at this timeframe. But compared to GFS:

Barely a sign of an easterly flow on the GFS. Signs that in the past few runs GFS has moved closer towards the ECM+UKMO solution, hopefully the GFS will continue in the next few runs in its movement towards the European model's solution.

Lovely huge flakes of snow in Norwich, started about 4.45pm and still going. Roads were getting tricky but not really settling on concrete but cars and grass covered. More than I thought...

Great drive home from Norwich to Ormesby, some of the biggest flakes I have seen in years. A really nice wintry picture the sky filled with big flakes. Awesome.
