Interesting UKMO chart;

Also brings in a channel low like feature a la ECM!

Being picky, could be slightly better positioned however!

Sleet here in Delabole, settling on cars. Very, very windy too!

You'll get your channel low and the whole of the southwest will get pasted. How do I know?

Snow event in 2010 - I had flu

Snow event in 2013 - I had flu

Today in 2013 - I have pneumonia. (As a result of not allowing myself to get better/resting properly after having the flu)

Whenever I am too ill to peel myself out of bed we get hit by snow events.

Happy to help! biggrin.png

I have slept on and off for about 48 hours, the shocking storm here woke me up, talk about mad weather! My patio table is currently in next doors garden.

So we have the UKMO and ECM showing a low in the channel area late in the weekend.

Apart from it still being 120+ hours away, I would urge a little caution currently though as there is a reasonable chance a less cold sector could come into play and spoil the party for some of us, as some output tentatively shows this morning.

Long way off yet but one to watch!

Well that was a windy night.

Anyway lets hope Cornwall gets some big snow for next week ;-)..... Think things are looking better for us now. :-)

Looking, as usual, the further east and north you are the more chance there might be of white stuff. For the coasties like myself I think for now, the warmer air will nail anything other than rain. Looking at the ground temps they seem so warm during the day, also suggests it will take a while for anything to settle.

I thought S Glos were getting some snow showers thru' the early hours? Zilch when i left home for work.

Are we still on for a bit of the white stuff this morning?

I see Sunday's LP still showing up - will it deliver cold rain or snow?

Some crazy wind and rain last night for a short time, at one point it sounded like someone had a hosepipe on full blast against our window.
