The initial front should stay as snow but it's the second one that'll be of rain.

That's assuming some places even see rain considering there's a rain shadow for western areas as is usually the case in these situation.

Freezing rain in the rush hour would be a complete nightmare

We have had some really dry snow flurries today, not enough to even cause a dusting but nice to see non the less. Tomorrow could be good for a few hours before it all melts again later in the night. Next week could be interesting if tonights ECM verifies.

After watching tonights forecast on look north it looks as though eastern parts of our region will see only a little Snow tomorrow.

Front coming in weakens quickly as it crosses our region.

Worth keeping an eye on models for next week though.

Looking interesting at moment.

I'm more than happy with what is projected, snow from 11am till 10pm. A snow day really, not fussed that it'll turn to rain as it will be night by then.

Disapointed with Paul on Look North tonight, he said hopefuly this will be the last snow warning of winter lol!! I thought he was a snow lover too!

He obviously hasnt looked at todays model outputs as we may be just around the corner from the coldest weather of the winter so far???? Having said that, we do have to get through 5 or so days of mild weather, yuk!

The graphics on his weather didnt show snow for that long, he said mostly fizling out by tea time, so thats only about 4 or 5 hours? Lets hope its more like the posts above in duration....

I'm looking forward to the high pressure and warmer temps for the next few days, transitional snow is always such a let down.

Will be nice to see some heavy snow falling, albeit temporary. But could do with it staying as snow until morning, that way I could get a day off work biggrin.png Nae says no chance though cray.gif

Heading to Otley tomorrow Jed. Lets hope the Chevin is wintry on the way home later.biggrin.png

He fell for one a year back too.I noticed the same.Last snow warning of winter.........ok.
