The snow has started melting on the cars now. Oh well had a good sledging day a few Sundays back. Good luck the rest of you. I'm off to bed. Got to do the school run in the morning.

Seems to be something in channel heading up after main part? Can't post radar from phone

Watching that too! Quite intense stuff moving up out of Le Havre and also showers moving north out of Rouen.

Dunno

See what the consensus opinion is amongst everyone I suppose ?

Right, you heard the man, what do you guys want to do about your depths, those of you with measurable snow and still in the Cup?

Come on, I'll do a Basil on you, if I dont hear anything! rofl.gif

Well, an interesting day when you look at the bigger picture. Marginal, suspensful, some areas doing well for snow, others mixed, yet more in the wet zone ('there is no snowing in the wet zone' - Airplane, almost). Tough one to call for the pro forecasters, marginality, local conditions, altitude, lots of things in the mix.

Whilst it has been fun to see snow today, it has been hard to get too worked up about it this time. Maybe we will get a further shot or 2 before the winter shuffles away, but if not then Spring can drop in with its re-birth, re-generation and hope.

Yawn... very, VERY light sleet and much too wet to settle.

0.5 C now.

RainToday radar looks promising but the number of times this winter that I've sat up half the night contemplating the difference between the radar and the view at the patio lights, I'm not holding my breath.

Wonderful pictures from the States, we were in Boston for its 7th deepest recorded snowfall in Jan 2005. Impressive how the city just continued to function, people going about town on skiddoos and xc skis, the weather team on TV used the word 'brutal' in every mention of wind, temp and ppn but nobody seemed to use it as an excuse to stay at home!
