well after a frustrating afternoon and night of watching rain. Then seeing everybody around me report snow etc, i now have it snowing and settling on everything, yes including the grass and puddled pathes and roads.. unbelievable!!

Wet snow falling now light-steady Cobham Surrey (near Esher/Epsom) areas.

Elevation 50m or less.

Tonight it's all about radar/lamppost watching if you have these, reports.

Possible snow Tuesday.

Snowing in Rainham Kent finally, after hours of sleet.... which makes me feel a bit happier, after yet again spending another evening reading about my neighbours in Essex having a snowfest. But I have a feeling ill wake up in the morning and there will be nothing to show for it. Also Its 0.0c here

Moderate Sleet here

1.6c

If only things were a 2-3 degrees colder, this would have been a classic event.

Happy for folks seeing lying snow - elevation helps!!

Oh I do love Sussex in the rain , almost feels warm enough to streak naked through my garden , that's just how excited I am about this really heavy rain , and it it looks like it could rain for hours too

Cars= covered

House=covered

Grass=covered

Pavements= covered

Road= covered

And to really p--- me off I have just seen a griiter go past wasting my Counsil tax money

I save my little salt packets at the cafe in case it is icy on my slabs...is that wrong?

Reigate Grammar's weather station says that it is 0.8c with a dew of 0.4c currently...

Wet snow falling... I think we must be right on the edge... I bet the north downs will have a decent covering by the morning...

Hasn't been great here just over the border. About 3cm on the grass and only now about 1cm covering on most surfaces.

Lots of time left though, and the temperature keeps dropping, down to 0.4C. A Base is established.

The thing that has got me this year, is the amount of hours we have had falling snow, and not amounted to much?

In previous years, a couple of hours of heavy snow, left all roads closed, and a good few cms,

In jan this year, it snowed for 16 hours non stop, yet had about 5cm in total

Tonight, started at 4pm heavy snow, still heavy now, yet a covering that will be more than likely gone by the morning

So again we are looking at over 6 hours heavy snow, and hardly worth a mention

Seems to be a constant plume of precipitation pepping up things North of the Thames.

Rain through the morning and into the afternoon, sleet and wet snow for a few hours and then rain this evening before drying up recently. Wet cat now indoors thankfully for sure, but no snowsad.png

Only just logged in as I wasn't expecting much throughout the day. Light snow here for the past couple of hrs but no accumulations. Really need to see some green blobs rather than these weak blues.
