Hate using this term but its the best to discribe the weather at the moment. It's a bloody AWKARD mix. Rain, sleet and snow pellets....

sounds about right.

I was just checking my dim garden light and wondering the same, does very light drizzle look like very light snow under a 40W bulkhead lamp? Temp and dew risen to 3c here

I'm actually looking forward to the brief slightly milder period

GFS 18z is still not going with ECM & UKMO Beast From The East colder theme for next week.

JP's take on this will be interesting after he recovers from his ECM fainting rofl.gif

I have increasing confidence of an increasing risk next week of a wintry spell..

Rain here now(around Esher) had steady snow with a dusting around 5pm, was actually a little like blizzard conditions in gusty winds.. maybe over dramatic then! really it gave a dusting on roofs and cars but melted soon after it stopped.

It will feel like a heatwave! when compared to what we have experienced then anyone with 10C tmw would notice it.

Sure was a short cold spell, but the temp was so bitter it seemed to go on and on

Temp and DP shooting up here, gone up 2o in the past couple of hours.

It's been quite dodgy out side, had some large chunks of frozen snow and ice falling from the trees and buildings in the strong breeze.

20p-sized flakes now...

That is inflation for you - the price of snow goes up and up

Egal, zuruck zum Wetter!

Ian Fergie seems to be pouring a bit of cold reality on the latest ECM runs tonight for any bitter cold.

Seems Exeter not totally buying it.

Regards,

Tom.

Lovely, just lovely

Driving rain, gusty wind, windscreen wipers on full speed and flooding on many of the back roads leading up to Benny Hill this morning. Don't you just love our weather???.....

Good Morning all ...

post-10773-0-96587700-1360828644_thumb.j

I was kept awake by the rain last night, and got up to find all my lovely snow washed away and replaced by muddy puddles....

....oh well, Happy Valentines Day!

ECM & UKMO are still going for the return of The Beast From The East on Wednesday. GFS does not want to know. It has been playing catch up most of winter so I would not be surprised it is on par with ECM & GFS this weekend.

Time to enjoy the sunshine and warm temps today a taster of spring at last!!!!!!!! Yes I am a mild ramper when the sun is on show.. Dull and grey no -.-

By the look of the models, it's not really going to be that mild
