low lying areas of south Wales now reporting sleet and rain, stil snow further north. i think you guys in the mids will do better the further north and west you are.

The colder 850s actually hang on longest in the south east. At 6pm for example Manchester Newcastle Aberdeen all have higher 850s than Leicester based on the gfs. Between now and then we need to hope we get some heavy precip to see it settle although it has started to here in places.

Let hope for something heavier for us in Nottingham later in the day as this light snow we are currently experiencing isn't settling

Coming down a bit steadier now but still really small flakes. Getting fed up with small flakes, they're all i've seen this winter

Surprisingly it's making the ground wet though. I thought surface temps were around freezing.
