1.2c temperatures dropping nicely, should get below zero tonight before the band of rain/sleet/snow hits tomorrow

Could be an upgrade if those charts by Backtrack are anything to go by!

Looking at the latest radar we might see a bit of patchy snow breaking out late tonight & in to the early hours ahead of the main band of precipitation.

time to celebrate maybe ?

Just ran my ppn forecast and that band is looking quite heavy that's due to come our way early doors. Station has it down for all snow too, besides possible sleet/snow/rain mix for extreme costal areas. Although it should start as snow for everyone.

I think because of all the non starters this winter I think people in the north west may be caught out as the move east will be slow and tedious as the cold will not want to move east to let in the atlantic

NAE just looks wrong for example at 1500 it has snow over the region, however it shows DP at +1c and 850.S at +3c

something not right there, that is heavy rain all the way, even on high ground
