Nice 5p sized flakes here up on the downs at the moment settling on last night light covering

The north East snow streamer is in force. Heaviest snow here since 2010. Approaching 3".

I think that the satellite pictures/radar images are flattering to deceive: what looks, from afar, to be moderate/heavy snow is often nothing more than a flake or two in the wind...

See the area across the N Sea this is all heading for NE England, Lincs, E Anglia later on.

Note how the Sat indicates rather more in the way of convection. I think tomorrow the greatest potential is the areas I mention whereas the SE will see very little if any snowfall.

Snowing quite heavy now , looking rather White up here now after last nights constant groupel , a nice seasonal postcard look all surfaces covered but not enough to sledge on but pretty all the same :-)
