Light snow coming down, temperatures falling, 0.9 currently, look like I may be reasonably well placed for a slight covering tonight. Thanks for the updates TEITS.

There really is some building in the ppn coming through The Wash, and building over Suffolk/Cambs, so London area could see something. Keep watching that radar.

Wish some would stop mentioning the word streamer!

Had enough now roll on spring or like it was for a few days before this spell. Cold & essentially dry does not float my boat especially as i have to work outside 12 hours per day.

Rant over & see you all next winter if there is nothing of note before then.

stream·er

4.
A newspaper headline that runs across a full page

...

5.

Kent

1 bad for snow

2 bad for thunderstorms

Where too, Devon for the thunder storms, or the northeast for the snow?

I'm sure some parts of Kent do well with the snow moving in from the North Sea and clipping the area often, also thunderstorms from the channel pass through Kent to and if close to the coast then sea lightning is frequent through summer when storms miss land, i think East/Southeast Kent is a good place for lightning and snow. but further north and West Kent it's far less.

1. Have had some fantastic snow events over the years.

2. Again in some years import some superb thunderstorms from France.

3. Lived in Kent all my life and quite happy to stay.

Can't have everything all the time, Glossop will be no different in that respectsmile.png .

It's not anaprop. But I do wonder whether graupel somehow intensifies the precipitation signal...Even stuff, that appears on the radar as 'heavy', seems only to be light graupel when it arrives?

I lived in Petts Wood many years ago and i had some great snowfalls.

I was in Tunbridge Wells, for the March 1970 blizzard...
