Nick Miller on BBC News 24 just said for Saturday late morning/afternoon: "For London, we are going to see a spell of snow into the afternoon which could see some temporary accumulations".

Slowly seeming to get better for snow for us Londoners!

I think what T.I meant was that she likes steve murr knowledge and informative posting, and that we can expect the unexpected, just putting it more poshly lol

I think TI misread my initial post completely - as in the lack of Steve Murr's posts in this thread doesn't bode well for settling snow of any note my neck of the woods (aka 5 mile radius of Greenhithe)

LACK of posts being the whole point of my initial post and nothing what so ever to do with Steve's knowledge. Normally there are lots of Steve's posts in situations like this, and the LACK of them may speak volumes.... thats all I'm saying...!!

Although not matches in the Cup proper, these 2 friendlies could be very tight affairs. In 1st match Chris perhaps advantage of a more northerly location but Hammer has a little more elevation. 2nd match looks a tight encounter too, Katie might have the edge on elevation but Mark perhaps will be in the heavier ppn for longer, again perhaps too close to call.

FRIENDLIES

Sawbridgeworth (H) (HAMMER) v. Kempston (Beds) (CHRIS MANTLE)

Headington (Ox) (MARK NEAL) v. High Wycombe (Bucks) (KATIE COURT)

Regards,

Tom.

Possible temporary accumulations.... Wow !!!

Hahaha, Yup! But better than all the snow staying North of London, and still plenty of time for things to change... Which they WILL!

Just haven't the foggiest which way it will change biggrin.png

For Saturday the Met Office warned that there was "continued risk of significant disruption" from snow.

Its warning covered many central parts of the UK and involved a slow-moving band of rain, sleet and snow.

It said further significant snowfall was likely to accumulate on hills, with continued drifting and blizzard conditions in strong south-easterly winds.

At lower levels, some areas could see a further 5-10cm (2in to 4in) of snow, though exact location remain "very uncertain at this stage", it said.

From the bbc ....
