Well I shall be roasting the lamb and not venturing out in the cold wind today .... Where did that lovely morning sunshine go!.

Well going to have a Easter Monday trip out to Exeter with my partner , I do like to get out of Cornwall when ever I can.

Well have a lovely Easter one and all and stay warm my good friends . :-)

I ventured out for 2 hour's ,trying to slowly dig over veg patch.

Nothing in the ground yet(unbelievable) and think it's a few days yet,the ground, although workable,is so increadably cold.

Just dont see the point in sowing anything yet as it will just sit there.

Anyway, happy easter and least your team won yesterday.

Starting to worry a bit about stoke now, looking dodgy.sad.png

Can see it now, plymouth stay up and stoke go down.

Well. after having some Persian food and tea I am very happy....and full up.

Very dramatic sky with the sun reflecting off the clouds but boring and raw

But I want my big fat Spanish storm more and more now!!!!

Pleasent sunny day today, although still on the cool side.

Off to the pub now for a few Easter tipples.

It has been a gorgeous day here except the wind chill of course! Have done loads in the garden other than seeding :) So good to feel the old fire energy aka the sun!

i won't be planting anything for a good couple of weeks , just going to let this cold weather pass over us.

Fantastic result for argyle over city!!!! . I think stoke will be fine, there are worse teams in the prem than stoke.

Hope you are having a lovely Easter and stay warm!.

This time last year we had everything in. Depressing to see the beds empty. Off to home park next week just to take in a stress free game following week off to st marys to see my first love the mighty saints (lucky the wife does not read this). If we are suffering with the garden veg can only wonder what the farmers are doing and wonder how bad the inevitable price rises will be.

10 days and counting until warmth?

very much the same with us but we had the problem of everything being so dry!.... Then what happened :-(.... Lets hope we don't go to the next extreme .... Wet!.

Following any football club is stressful but have to say your boys have done well this season.

Roll on hot summer for me, get a wet end of April and may out of the way.

yep tell me about it the runner beans almost perished in the march heat then drowned in the down pours that followed. Oh to be a gardener! Then again if weather had set patterns I guess there would not forums like this for weather debate

Just noticed this, they have Dartmoor forecast for a good few hours of light snow.

Bbc even got Ashburton forecast for 2 hours heavy snow - http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2656977

Probably be removed soon.

It seems that other areas of southern England have a similar forecast - I'm now in West London and we're forecast light snow for the same time. But as usual, Exeter is forecast none :D

Is there an end in sight for this atrocious weather?

My poor cousin is a farmer, she is about to give birth to her 2nd baby, her ewes are dying in labour/lambs are dying as they haven't the space to bring them all in because of the calves, even though they are trying their damnedest to do so and they have had to buy in hay & silage because they have run out due to the awful weather.

Bad times for farmers that's for sure.

Her husband has hardly slept in days as he is outside with the ewes trying his best to save as many as he possibly can.

This is truly terrible. Poor farmers and poor animals.

At the risk of being told off for getting political, this sort of situation (and the floods of last year) is where the government should be spending "aid" money.........not sending it abroad to tin pot dictators and countries who have more money than we do.

I know, it's shocking really.

Crops are also being badly affected, this in turn is going to put up the price of absolutely everything that we buy... so it makes sense to provide money for extra shelter etc, the economy is going to go into meltdown unless the gov't do something quickly.

The weather affects so many things doesn't it, it's something that I forget until I talk to people like my cousin & my friend who runs a farm shop.

I'm also worried about my cousin, 9 months pregnant and out in her wellies in all weathers at all times of the day and night. She won't be told though!

No end in sight here with a few snowflakes blowing in the wind just a few moments ago.

Currently grey, dull, cold with AT pushing only 2.3c. cold.gif

After next weekend, it does look likely that one or two select areas within this region may well reached double-digit Maximums once again, here's hoping. drinks.gif

Still cold and looking chilly for much of the week. :(

Well, it's gone over quite dark here in NW Bristol. Temp 3.4 with light snow now steadily falling.

Wish this was an April fool's joke! Like just about everyone else here, as much as I love the cold & snow, there's a season for it and Spring isn't it!
