That radar seems to have really powered back up with showers exploding back in from the South-South-West, (although could do with them developing a little further West for those in the more Western side of the region to have a chance, too). Posted Image

Yes the radar looks good. We had a very short but heavy shower about 15 mins ago.

That's amazing! There's more to the whole lightning process than I thought.

Latest storms down south have faded again. Models seem to be firming up on tonights/tomorrow mornings stuff being East of Birmingham too. Same old same old.

Urgh given up now completely, clear hazy skies and the SW channel storms are fizzling into nothing, what makes it even more frustrating is the fact it's still 22.9c at this hour! with a dewpoint of 19c!!!!!!! PERFECT ingredients for it to go bang, but nothing :(

Belting it down again now, huge raindrops - I thought it was hail at first.

I literally live about 10 miles away from your location and we have absolutely nothing!

Same feeling here now. Everything just seems to have magically shifted East tonight. Even southerly winds shortly arriving replacing the SW/SSW ones wont be enough. Leicestershire to Lincs in the ripe zone again.

Cant see where its coming from tbh. Earlier in the day it looked great for an MCS to track our way but slowly through the day it looks like the E mids as per usual. But ive enjoyed the heat and at least I got to hear a little thunder this evening.

Big flash to my east and my first rumble of thunder of the evening :)Bish

Ditto...definitely minus the rumble.Very distant flicker (DNK) or short for, destination not known. Warmest or most humid night of this spell so far. Edited by triple_x1

What a crud last day or so, I'd prefer it if the storms weren't 40 or so miles away either. Makes it more frustrating.

Righto I'm off to bed for a few hours..............hopefully I'll be woken at four in the morning by the sound of a monstrous MCS bearing down on us (well I can but dream).

Night all :)
