WOW!!! That was amazing. A MASSIVE bolt around 700 yards in front of me. I saw the smoke from the bolt. amazing. Sadly not much since then a few flashes and rumbles but nothing major other that.

Massive IC flash here, 3 miles distant and very high, from west to east, the thunder lasted a whole 40 seconds!!!!

Went for a storm chase along M20 towards Folkestone am now at Ashford. Still raining but bright skies no thunder or lightening. Not as bad as forecast

I'd say chances of pepping up, producing home grown goodies starts to decline rapidly after about 22z
