Four claps of thunder here in north Chelmsford during the last 10 minutes. Raining moderately heavy.

This time last night I was sitting outside the local in broad daylight. All the street lights are on in my road this evening.

Very interesting. Cloud base is drifing very slowly north or even NNW. from a southerly direction. Scud cloud forming now here but moving ENE from a WNW direction. Probably at about 2500 ft.

Have very high based lightning, nothing like the last storms and no way as severe. Still though, ALOT of rain and fun to see the flashing when it does occur

Did you get alot of sea fog being pulled into the storm? It went from mammatus and mackeral to dense fog!

Gone eerily quiet here. Nothing but the sound of rain....and a few crows squawking.

Looks a bit bleak after this lot clears away. Disappointing compared to a few nights ago TBH.

 

Just back from Camber Sands and saw it approaching with my 7 year old. She loved it so I have a mini storm chaser on my hands.
