Just heard a very long rumble of thunder!

Grey and overcast here, with an E'ly wind which can't make up its mind - one minute it's a howling gale, the next a dead calm. Have watered pots and currently have hose running on new hedge (all 100m of it). I really hope I've wasted my time with that....

Thunder and lightning every couple of mins here, started about 10 mins ago.

Just been on the beach and it's rumbling out in the channel.seen about 6 lightning strikes so far.

Thunder seems to have eased. I guess that's that for the next decade. Its just heavy rain now. Temp 19.1C, but feels more like 25C!
