I thought at lunchtime the southwest/central thread would be like this so enjoy and feel free to gloat :-(

I'm not gloating, trust me. Unless you can gloat about fog rolling in from the coast...

Went for a storm chase along M20 towards Folkestone am now at Ashford. Still raining but bright skies no thunder or lightening. Not as bad as forecast

yeah got to admit that, this time yesterday it sounded pretty serious to what was gonna happen on here and from the met, but alas just your average storm in my opinion, hope they get it right for the north tomorrow or this is gonna be a bit of a shambles if it just ends up to what we just had.

Weird how we we're psyched up for a big storm just an hour ago and now it seems it's rapidly diminishing.

Who needs cliffhangers when you've got weather.

Well looked at the radar.

Looked outside .

As storms go I'm great full for it,

But that was proper pony.

Bit like the night out you planned for months ,

Then on the night it's like is that it.r

Storms are like nights out the ones that are not hyped are always the ones to remember.

Just like the weather that is not forecast or forecast wrong always makes history

Just my opinion I know,

But all that hype all week for that.

Lol lol

or leysdown lol

Know it well. My mum lives there!! (And used to moan about the drunks and noise from Priory Hill campsite. Until they gave the residents of the surrounding roads passes to the on-site pub!)

So, folks, is that it? Seems to be the case here anyway. Just plain old summer rain in my neck of the woods now.

Blast off in Ippy. Just had a blinding flash of lightning.

I was in Norwich until earlier today and it hasn't reached there yet.
