Hopefully.....have you got a safety line that you could use to tie yourself to something heavy ?

Agree on this

Frankly there is enough ensemble information to cast doubt on the storms existence, let alone track.

10/23 mogreps members

significant minority of ECM ens

half the 12z GFS suite

I'm seriously hoping this low bombs tomorrow and we are left with conventional wet and windy weather

Just a tad confused with the we're not out of the woods yet comment?

Nowhere in Southern Britain will be out of the woods yet (and there might not be any woods by Tuesday lol) everyone in this region needs to be on early alert for the likelihood of severe gales and with it the potential of damaging winds.ECM 12Z favours a more Northerly tracking with a greater part of Southern England and the South East at risk, including some Central partsGFS has trended for a mainly Southerly tracking system, with the strongest winds across the coastal areas of South West England, The South Coast and South East England on exit.GFS 12Z midday run has adjusted the tracking slightly further North to affect more inland parts of Southern England, but not as far North as the ECM 12Z Edited by MKsnowangel

John,

You will be foolish to commit to such a complex situation. Just sit back and keep watching.

This is not your straight forward deep area of low pressure. The area of low pressure actually develops a lot closer to the uk than normal storms do. So instead of starting off miles out it starts quite close down south. In order to reach its full potential as output has shown it has got to 'bomb' that will be the key difference between a bog standard 'Windy and wet day' to a quite possibly 'Memorable storm' we will not know any specific details until at least Saturday evening I feel. Must admit though that it is a very interesting situation.

I guess it's just a country thing but shooting wildlife is not sometheing I would call a sport Posted Image

I am sorry you feel like that but the I am not doing for the thrill but doing it to proved food for myself and the amount of work that keepers do for the wildlife is huge. the feed that is put in feeders during winter provide food for our rarer bird species such as yellow hammers and other small birds. also wild game is some of the best food you can eat as it is low in fat and natural.

been years since I have last seen them here in our area that may be due to the high populations on badgers

Hi John,

Myself and some colleagues have often commented that we'd have preferred our office to have been in Bromley, if that Sou'wester is strong enough we may still get our wish, come Monday afternoon! Posted Image

Not at all - when it comes to cherishing lovely creatures like these, and so many others, then that is for all of us to sharePosted Image . A special thought too for when the weather is bad - especially this time of year and into winter time

I hope it was soya milk then - hoggies are lactose intolerant !

I've raised one from a baby, sadly Spikey only had three legs after a damaged one had to be amputated so couldn't be released but fully recovered and went off to make baby spikies with another hog !

The best thing to feed them is dog or cat food and dried mealworms :-)
