Morning all.  We've another tree down over here.  May have been weakened by the Xmas Eve storm.  Otherwise it's not too bad here this morning.

Hope everyone else is safe with no damage.

Well thankfully the really heavy rain missed here. Didn't get woken in the night and the garden looks reasonably intact. Planes flying out of Gatwick.

Even with a window open I slept through whatever happened, so couldn't have been too bad.

Another very windy night here. Not quite as bad as Monday night but the roof tiles were taking a pounding. Not sure they can last another storm.

Quick question - I am using an iPad and log in as usual with the "remember me" box ticked. However, if I then want to view the radar I have to log in again and if I go to another web site and come back log in procedure starts again. I thought once you logged in you only do it once if remember me is ticked.

Ah! Weather - perfectly calm here in gloomy Lee.

Gust been 60+ most of the night, last storm was 70+ over night, still sounds like it's packing a punch though. Do not expect to see much damage about when I go out later. Will check my garden to see if anymore fences are down later on when the wind drops a bit.

Morning regionaires!

Just nursing the headache from hell after someone came 'round with a friend or two called 'Bolly' and it was rude not to imbibePosted Image

Back to Atlantic domination this morning with dark skies and intermittent rain. Max gust here overnight a mere 43.7 mph and 8.3mm rain in the last 24 hours, so I guess no where near as bad as Monday/Tuesday. Shame as yesterday was a lovely respite:

Just looked at radar, it looks to me like that lot to the south might move up over us, I hope I am seeing that wrong. There's some pretty heavy rain there, we do not need it.

Morning all

Was certainly a bit wild last night, hearing the rain and wind crashing against the window. Glad it's pretty much over and nothing in the output suggests that anything as bad is on the way.

Rain on the other hand, I guess we need a good couple of weeks of dry weather at the moment, doesn't look likely :(

Hi Alexis, even the BBC weather is a bit vague and suggest some heavy rain may move back into the south east although the graphics suggest otherwise, looks like it will be a wait and see. The last few shots on yr.no satellite suggest its coming our way?

well looking  at it via  rain alarm its  looking its staying on the french side i hope  it do that  the last  thing Kent  and  Sussex  need at the  moment

quite cold in here today, heard the wind going all night but don't think it was as strong as the last storm, wind is still gusting quite strongly from time to time.

Surprised at the 109 gust which was recorded.

Wind really picking up here with some pretty hefty gusts. Now raining as well.

Its a 'snuggle up and play with your Xmas presents' kind of day. Ah...bliss. :)

I do hope so as I would like to hope the Snow Depth cup might have at least one event this winter.

Afternoon all

Been a mixed day here weather wise, started calm and clear but no frost, then it clouded over and started to rain, then it cleared again and wind has picked up, feeling a tad colder out too.  Need to pop out very briefly and that may be me in for the night (not decided yet), only had to work today, now have a week off "W00T!"  So time to prepare for the detox in the next few days.

Pretty sure that we have just had some lightning. Didn't hear anything but there are some showers showing on the radar.

Get ready its coming.

(Twitter Comment Two)GFS12z goes for a cold & wintry 2nd week of Jan. Snow for many if right, but it's probably a cold outlier in the GEFS. Will know by 6.15ish

I have this strange feeling its not an outlier, Will confirm later.
