nope couldn't see 50 feet in front of me due to north sea cack Posted Image

No I never saw any storms in the north sea, trouble these days is that the storms tend to miss by hundred of miles.

The lack of nagging breeze will be good though,

Ah dear. That sea really is a pain most of the time!

Yeah. Only last July was the first full on night storm for 7 flipping years. It really has been rubbish compared to the 90's. I just seem to remember every summer waking up to mind boggling lightning and thunder at night, a good 3-4 times per summer too. Really hope after last summer, this will become more of a feature.

The interesting thing was about the July storm last year, is that people were freaking out like mad that they'd seen a violent storm at night, almost as if they never existed! Thats really how rare they have become.

If they do start reappearing though, then I think we are in the prime spot for it. Always remember Cambridgeshire and the rest of East Anglia + SE getting clobbered. They used to be fr*gging massive and last for hours and hours on end.

Evening all. It looks a bit misty and drizzly in Ippy. Thick cloud as well by the looks of it. Been a nice sunny day, though.

And.....welcome back, Jan. Hope you are feeling better. :)

The Great wall of China in the Snow.

Poor chap who has to clear that path.

Temperature on the rise here with the pressure falling, I see our gritters are on standby (if we have enough grit)  for the morning depending on how quick the rain moves through and temperatures drop again. I must admit that it does feel like winter with temperatures around 5s to 6c and a very low sun although reading the other thread you would think we are waiting fro the cold to start.

be back soon with the fax updates

to see how much rain we have incoming

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/radar/

That rain has been very slow, guess the block is slowing it down, I hope it speeds up or dies down before getting to flooded areas in this region, the west didn't need all this rain either.

JP or JT, where's the best place to go and see an 850Pa archive chart for last January, just tried the Netweather archive page but no chart seems to appear.
