That shower over Glossop just 'hovering' in-situ, forcing perhaps off the Pennines? in contrast to the dark sky towards the NE it's sunny and warm around these parts.

Anyone else awake? An absolutely stunning sunrise this morning and when I turned round a huge Rainbow! Don't often see them in the morning near sunrise, more often near sunset!

After a wet Friday and wet start to Saturday, it's nice to see an appearance by the big orange ball in the sky.

Off to football for a lunchtime kick off and sitting where rain means wet legs so hopefully the threatened showers will keep away.

The heavy showers didn't really materialise here today, lots of warm sunny spells, registered 19c at one point. The wind did pick up about lunch time but died off later this afternoon, a very pleasant day in all

Turned into a better day than I was expecting.

Threatening sky at times but so far it's stayed dry and in the brief sunny periods we've reached 16c which isn't bad for April up here.

Met office forecasted a cloudy day today. I'm currently sat in the garden in the sun, doesn't get much better than this in April, 20.5C with strong spring sunshine!

Started decent enough here with warm sunshine this morning and into the afternoon but much cloudier later with a few spots of rain.

Not been a bad few days weather wise though, especially compared to other parts of the country.

High's of 17'c here today although with the sun getting ever higher in the sky the radiant warmth made it feel that more hotter. Luckily the NW was wedged between two clumps of cloud through much of the morning and early afternoon, saw some convection but most of which flattened out around 7000ft. Cloudy but mild for tonight in contrast to the weekends forecast.

Temperature upgrade for Saturday! 15-16C highs, that UV index is looking high too

Great day to be outdoors Saturday with a clear northerly air stream and plenty of sunshine.
