Been wild here , hail rain ,thunder ,all riding along on 60 + mph winds ,got sunshine now !!!!.

Every time I look out the window the weather's different: rain, sun, sun & rain, windy, very windy. No hail or thunder yet but the power just dipped - very unusual in Trafford Park.

Some hefty showers and gusty winds here today but, other than plenty of leaves blowing about, nothing to serious.

It certainly feels cold though, currently only 5.6c.

Drizzly morning still windy

Very low levels in the Nidd valley reservoirs, and rain on the eastern side of the Pennines continues to be just dribs and drabs.  No sign of much in the forecast or models with the slack westerlies running out of water before they get here.  How long before there is a problem if the autumn rains do not turn up?

Not been a bad day after the early rain cleared away and at times this afternoon it felt quite warm.

Certainly not late October weather biut at least it keeps the heating bills down.

Hasn't half been an very stale, benign few days with the cloud been pretty stubborn to shift, with a breeze, but very mild. I have my shorts and t-shirt on today! Lovely temperatures for taking the dog.

 

Noticed that Northerly toppler about 9 days out. Steve Murr seems to have confidence that it'll come off, but then again he seems to have confidence of anything remotely cold on the models.
