Been at football this afternoon and with a breeze blowing and little in the way of sunshine it certainly felt like winter was just around the corner.

Grey breezy mild day , nothing very exciting !!!..

Personally I've had enough of this boring nothingness weather and want a change to something more interesting, whether that be wet, wild or just plain old cold and snowy.

yes the nothingness is just boring I totally agree. I would rather it be chucking it down than this overcast grey rubbish.

Heavy rain after an otherwise dry morning still mild .....edit ,absolutely torrential now !!!!!

Same here other than our dry day lasted until mid afternoon.

Quite a narrow band of rain but quite intense until it cleared through.

Looking like the models are firming up on the first cold snap of

The season with -8 850 just touching scotland, some significant

Snow for the scotish Highlands, and also the risk of wintry weather

Over the hills further south, for us at low altitude we will have to

Wait our turn, but one thing for sure it will be a shock to the

System with a cold northerly wind

Hasn't half been an very stale, benign few days with the cloud been pretty stubborn to shift, with a breeze, but very mild. I have my shorts and t-shirt on today! Lovely temperatures for taking the dog.

Noticed that Northerly toppler about 9 days out. Steve Murr seems to have confidence that it'll come off, but then again he seems to have confidence of anything remotely cold on the models.

P.S. I'm back. :)

if this mornings models verify then he will be correct

C.s

p.s I am back to ready for silly season

Even if snow doesn't actually materialise on Tuesday, it would take something rather amazing in temperature drop to go from Friday's expected 18-19c down to levels needed to consider it in the forecast.

From the cooker to the freezer ,at least it's interesting weather !!!!!.

At least it should stop the damn grass from growing.

Last thing I want is to be still getting the mower out in November.

A bit of cold should bring the last of the leaves down as well.

Then it will look like winter is just around the corner.

Looking forward to this cooler spell next week even though it's now looking like a watered down version of what was forecast yesterday.

Just back from walking the dog and warmth and humidity like this just doesn't feel right when it's dark and the trees are bare of leaves.
